Traveling from out of state & stopped at Next Door for take-out. Did not disappoint! We ordered the Mashed Potato Pizza! (Yes, I said, Mashed Potato Pizza) It had a thin crust topped with caramelized onions, mozzarella cheese, crispy bacon & mashed potatoes. At first, we were skeptical but were happy that we tried it. It is a unique combination of toppings, but is really was de! Definitely recommend
This was my 1st visit to the Next Door. My son & family have been here before and enjoyed the atmosphere, the drinks (happy hour), and the food! And they were absolutely correct! Excellent customer service from our server, we asked for the kid's pizza 1st, kids were starved, and they were awesome! Fresh, hit & delicious!! Thank you for a lovely dining experience, with kids & a toddler !
Easily accessible and in walking distance of the New Haven green. Got brussels sprouts and a large pizza. The brussels sprouts were cut and fried in a unique way I had never seen before but it was quite delicious. The pizza was also quite good although a little too much garlic for my tastes (and i love garlic)
Everything about this place was fantastic. The food was tremendous. The wings served here are fire. Cooked perfectly! I tried the Curried Butternut Squash Soup, and it made me feel all cozy. We tried several of the pizza options, and every one is delicious. The beer selection was generous. For dessert, we had the ice cream sandwiches and affogato. Impressive! The staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was packed. There was a pretty chill vibe to the restaurant, so this is great for a group of friends or family
I love this place! They've got delicious food, great service, parking, and such a cozy atmosphere. Their dessert is so underrated it's so good. The chocolate mousse and lemon ricotta cookies, chef's kiss.
First time here and went with a traditional cheese pie. YUMMY!! The sauce is amazing and for us it had just the right amount of cheese. Some will find the flop factor a negative but I truly didnt care as the taste made up for it!! We will for sure be back to try more menu items!
The pizza was excellent. A true new haven style pizza. The crust was crispy and flavorful. The spicy meatball pizza had just the right amount of heat, it was full of flavor and not burn your face off. Staff was very friendly and attentive.
Caesar salad was terrific. Pizza even better. Pepe’s and Modern watch out. This place is fantastic. Ate in the front bar area which was very nice. Main dining room feels a bit ‘empty’. Back bar area seems ok. Eat in front. Our server who was also the bartender was right on top of things. Will definitely go there again. Also, many Uber Eats drivers picking up so word is out this pizza is exceptional. And, prices are very reasonable and you don’t feel like you’re in just a pizza joint. Plenty of other dinners on the menu.
